Datasensing SR23 Series
The SR23 Series delivers a robust family of fork-slot photo-electric sensors, engineered for precise detection of labels, film gaps and multilayer materials, extremely narrow slot geometry, and rapid reaction times. With its 5 mm slot width and 50 mm depth, minimum detectable object/gap down to 0.5 mm, switching frequency up to 12 kHz and response times around 40 µs, this series provides exceptional speed, high repeatability, and compact integration in demanding automation environments.
Design & Functionality
- The sensors feature a 5 mm slot width and 50 mm slot depth, suitable for standard labels, booklet multilayers and film gaps.
- Optical/operational highlights include:
• Minimum detectable object/gap of 0.5 mm, enabling very fine detection of labels or transparent gaps.
• High switching frequency of up to 12 kHz, and response time approx. 40 µs, supporting high-throughput conveyor and printing applications.
• Setting via single push-button (Teach-In or dynamic) enabling quick adjustment during running webs or production. - Mechanical & environmental features:
• Compact metal housing (Zamak / aluminium + PBT), with typical dimensions ~11 × 25 × 64 mm or ~30 × 63 × 10 mm depending on variant.
• Protection rating IP65, designed for machine-side mounting in labelling, packaging or printing equipment.
Total Crossed Beams
