The S65-M Series delivers a smart blend of long-range detection, compact mechanical format, and industrial robustness, using TOF background-suppression technology to reliably detect objects even in front of challenging backgrounds or shiny surfaces.

Design & Functionality

• The S65-M uses a compact square housing (50 × 50 × 24/25 mm), making integration into dense machine layouts or conveyor systems easier. 
• It supports nominal sensing distances up to ~5 m on white targets, and ~3.5 m on black (~6% reflectivity) — enabling true long-span background suppression detection. 
• Technology: Time-of-Flight (TOF) impulse measurement with infrared LED emission (safer than classical laser) plus an embedded green LED pointer to ease alignment. 
• Connectivity: Dual independent outputs—programmable and selectable—plus variants with IO-Link V1.1, offering modern interface flexibility. 
• Industrial build: IP67 rated, rugged ABS housing, often with M12 connector, full electrical protections (reverse polarity, short-circuit auto-reset, impulse over-voltage) — ensuring reliable performance in harsh automation environments.

Beam Pitch Options

• For example: Model variants support the full ~0.3 … 5 m range for white-target detection. 
• Other variants: ~0.3 … 4 m (18% grey target) and ~0.3 … 3.5 m (6% black target). 
• These distance-variant options allow you to choose the model best fitting target size, background reflectivity, mounting clearance and required span — offering design flexibility.

Intrinsic Synchronism

• The electronics and sensing algorithm are fully integrated—no external synchronization modules are required—streamlining installation and commissioning.
• The built-in pointer LED and teach-in functionality help to quickly align, teach and verify operation, reducing setup time.
