The S6 Series delivers a fully-featured family of compact 50Γ50 mm photo-electric sensors, engineered for versatile installation, broad detection spans, and industrial reliability. With versions ranging from short-range diffuse (~900 mm), background suppression (~30-250 mm), retro-reflective (~0.1-6 m), up to through-beam spans of ~20 m, the series provides exceptional flexibility, flexible power supply options, and robust performance.
Design & Functionality
- The series uses a compact cubic 50Γ50 mm housing, allowing easy mounting even in constrained machine spaces or conveyor side-frames.
- Optical mode variants include:
β’ Diffuse-reflection models with nominal sensing distances from ~900 mm up to ~2 m depending on version.
β’ Background suppression (BGS) models with nominal ranges ~30-250 mm, for reliable detection close to background surfaces.
β’ Polarised retro-reflective variants reaching nominal distances up to ~5-6 m (on R2 reflector) depending on model.
β’ Through-beam (emitter/receiver) models with nominal sensing distances up to ~20 m in certain versions. - Supply voltage options allow broad compatibility: Free-voltage AC/VDC versions with relay output, or 10-30 V DC versions with transistor (NPN/PNP) outputs β enabling flexible power integration.
- Output logic includes selectable Light-On / Dark-On, NPN or PNP logic (in DC versions) and NO/NC contacts (in relay versions) β offering control flexibility.
