The BS-BV Series provides a flexible and robust family of photoelectric sensors in a compact cubic housing, designed for installation in restricted machine spaces while offering high-performance detection capabilities. With models covering diffuse, retro-reflective, and polarized modes, and spanning short to long sensing distances (up to 1.6 m diffuse or 8 m retro-reflective), the series delivers versatility in application, selectable logic/output types, and industrial durability.

Design & Functionality

• The solver uses a rectangular (cubic) housing approx. 16 × 37 × 64 mm in many models, enabling installation in constrained machine areas. 
• Optical modes include diffuse reflection (nominal distances ~100 mm / 200 mm / 400 mm / 1 600 mm depending on variant) and retro-reflective up to ~8 m.
• Output options: For DC versions, multifunctional DECOUT® output (selectable NPN/PNP and NO/NC); for AC versions, multivoltage 20-253 V AC with TRIAC output (NO/NC selectable). 
• Sensitivity adjustment is available via trimmer, enabling fine tuning of detection thresholds for varied backgrounds or target surfaces. 
• LED status indicator (red) for output state, enabling verification of detection at a glance. 
• Housing is fully resin‐filled, providing mechanical and environmental protection; rated for IP65 in standard models. 

Total Crossed Beams

• The BS-BV Series ensures a stable detection field, whether in short-range diffuse mode or long-span retro-reflective mode, meaning fewer missed triggers or false detections even when backgrounds vary.

Beam Pitch Options

• Example diffuse reflection variants: nominal ~100 mm, ~200 mm, ~400 mm, ~1 600 mm.
• Example retro-reflective variant: up to ~8 m sensing distance.

Intrinsic Synchronism

• The electronics are self-contained — no external synchronisation modules or special wiring are required — installation is simplified and less error-prone.
• Power-on delay is approx. 200 ms in many models, enabling quick readiness after startup.
