The VM Series delivers dependable inductive metal-part detection optimized for AC-powered industrial environments. Its multivoltage operation (20…250 V AC) and compact M12 format make it ideal for standard manufacturing installations where reliable object presence detection is required. 

Design & Functionality

• The sensor features a nickel-plated brass M12 × 1 cylindrical body, offering solid mounting in industrial applications. 
• Flush-mount (shielded) models offer a nominal sensing distance of about 2 mm, while non-flush (unshielded) models offer about 4 mm, allowing flexibility depending on mounting clearance and background metal. 
• The sensor supports a wide range of supply voltage: 20…250 V AC / 50-60 Hz, enabling direct integration into AC mains systems without requiring DC conversion. 
• With correction factors for different metals (e.g., copper ~0.40, aluminium ~0.50, brass ~0.60, stainless steel ~0.75-0.80), the VM Series is capable of tuned detection across varied metal types. 
• The repeat accuracy is < 5% and thermal drift of Sr is < 10%, delivering stable sensing performance despite environmental variation.
