The PM3 Series delivers high-performance inductive sensing in a compact M12 cylindrical housing, engineered for robust industrial automation. With a wide range of models—including standard, shielded/unshielded and DECOUT® push-pull outputs—the PM3 ensures fast, stable object detection in metal-detection tasks across various environments.

Design & Functionality

• The PM3 features a compact M12 × 1 cylindrical body (nickel-plated brass) with flush or non-flush mounting options, ideal for space-constrained installations. 
• Nominal sensing distances start at 2 mm (shielded) or 4 mm (unshielded) depending on model variant, supporting tight-space detection of metal targets. 
• Offers high repeat accuracy (less than ±5%), thermal drift under 10%, and built-in protections including reverse-polarity, short-circuit auto-reset and impulse over-voltage protection—ensuring reliable performance in harsh environments. 
• Available output configurations include NPN/PNP, NO/NC selectable or DECOUT® push-pull models, giving flexibility for system integration.

• The PM3 maintains a consistent magnetic field at its sensing face, ensuring any metal object entering that zone triggers detection reliably—regardless of background or mounting variations.
