The CF Series offers a comprehensive family of plastic-optical-fibre sensor units (emitter + receiver), engineered for compact object detection, flexible installation, and robust environmental protection. With ultra-slim fibre heads (Ø 1 mm core), sensing distances from 50 mm up to 1 200 mm depending on head/fibre type, multiple head geometries (straight, angled, spiral), and protection rating of IP67, this series delivers exceptional installation flexibility, high adaptability, and reliable performance in challenging machine-side environments.

Design & Functionality

• The sensors combine an emitter and receiver in a fibre-optic system, enabling detection in very tight or otherwise inaccessible locations thanks to ultra-slim optical fibres and insertion heads.
• Operational and mechanical highlights include:
  • Wide range of head styles – ultra-slim for small-object detection, long-distance fibre heads for larger span sensing.
  • Long distances up to ~1200 mm with appropriate head/fibre configuration, enabling detection across larger gaps or tunnels.
  • Core diameter 1 mm optical fibre, enabling fine mechanical routing and minimal footprint.
  • Protection rating IP67, enabling reliability in dusty or machine-side environments where the sensor head may be exposed.
• Mechanical & environmental robustness: The fiber system includes nickel-plated brass heads, optional sleeves, and lengths from 0.5 m to several metres, enabling flexible routing. Examples: axial plastic fibre heads with 1 mm core, operating temperatures from –40 °C to +55 °C for fixed installation.
• Installation flexibility: With separate fibre heads and amplifier/receiver modules, the CF family supports remote sensing, tight-space detection, and modular upgrade of optical path without changing electronics.
