Festo’s quick exhaust valve range is engineered to enable accelerated piston retraction and high-speed cylinder operation by providing a direct and efficient exhaust path. Mounted directly at the cylinder port, these valves reduce residual pressure and enable faster cycle times compared to standard exhaust configurations. 

These valves are available in standard and silenced versions (the SE and SEU series), giving you the flexibility to choose high-flow performance or quieter operation.

⭐ Important: By mounting directly at the cylinder port and using the quick exhaust path, you achieve maximum piston speed, minimal back-pressure and consistent high frequency performance.

Design & Functionality

In the quick exhaust valve, compressed air flows from the control valve to the cylinder via port 1 to port 2. The exhaust port (3) remains closed while pressure is applied. When the pressure at port 1 drops, port 2 is exhausted rapidly through port 3 to atmosphere (or silencer) — enabling fast cylinder retraction. 

Variants include:
• Standard quick exhaust valve (SE)
• Quick exhaust valve with integrated silencer (SEU)
• Multiple port sizes and mounting options (G1/8, G1/4, G3/8, G1/2 etc) 
These valves are designed for direct attachment to the cylinder, ensuring minimal tubing length and optimum exhaust performance.

⭐ Important: Direct mounting on the cylinder and minimised exhaust passage length are key to unlocking the full benefit of these valves.

Beam Pitch Options

This corresponds to the available flow sizes, port variants and construction options:
• Nominal sizes from 5 mm to 19 mm (or larger) depending on model. 
• Flow rates in the range of ~300 l/min up to ~6,480 l/min depending on nominal size and variant. 
• Versions with and without silencer: the SEU series incorporates a silencer to reduce exhaust noise.
• Mounting: screw-in, direct to cylinder port or via mounting bracket. Important for performance is the direct cylinder mount.

Intrinsic Synchronism

The internal spool and seal assembly ensure consistent exhaust performance with minimal pressure drop. The optional mounting brackets and standardised port layouts support consistent integration.
